It’s been exactly a month since the Super Bowl, and rumors are beginning to surface about which players will be on the move this offseason. And with all of us on high alert, wondering which players will be leaving their current teams, anything will spark our interest.
This includes tweets that contain rap lyrics that point to a departure.
Mike Thomas of the New Orleans Saints learned that Sunday, when he tweeted a rap lyric that could easily be read as a dig at teammate Brandin Cooks, who reportedly wants out of New Orleans.
The jealously will cause people to part ways huh #shhhh

None of these reaction tops Cooks, who has already deleted this savage response.
A top-notch Drake reference from Cooks. I approve 100 percent. With all of this chaos brewing, Thomas was quick in his attempt to end any speculation.
I see what y'all did their with that tweet but sorry that's just lyrics to a new Don Q song y'all good

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I get excited about new rap songs, too. However, I don’t randomly tweet out lyrics that would hint I’m calling out my colleagues. Thomas certainly seemed to have an agenda with that tweet. He’s just trying to walk it back now.
