The Pittsburgh Steelers are looking to end their playoff win drought before it reaches a full decade, which seems nearly unfathomable for a franchise as storied and accomplished as the Steelers have been over the years.
Pittsburgh brought in four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers to help get things turned around, despite him having arguably the worst two-year stretch of his career with the New York Jets. However, Rodgers has been a breath of fresh air.
The 41-year-old has already thrown 17 touchdown passes on the season and had the Steelers sitting at 4-2 heading into Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts, the owners of the best record in the NFL.
Before the game, Steelers fans were forced to hold their breath when Rodgers suffered a finger injury during pregame warmups.
“Aaron Rodgers looks to have hurt his finger/hand taking a snap from Zach Frazier pregame. If I had a quarter for every time a Steelers QB injured a pinky on a snap this year, I’d have 50 cents. It’s not a lot, but weird it’s happened twice!” ESPN’s Brooke Pryor in the moments leading up to the game.
Rodgers managed to not only gut out the injury, but lead the Steelers to victory, throwing a touchdown in the process. After the game, some Colts had some more brutal news after the loss.
Various Colts players asked for Rodgers after the game, and he had to tell them that he’d received too many requests to oblige them.

Fans reacted to the moment on social media.
“When you see (stuff) like this, it’s always amazing.. people say he’s a bad teammate and yeah, maybe occasionally has some questionable beliefs but he’s a good dude people within the game love Aaron Rodgers. I really don’t get the hate,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Am I crazy or do I feel like barring a late season collapse Rodger’s might come back another year?” one fan added.
“Dang. When opposing players after the game want your jersey that’s gotta be a great feeling. Walking legend status,” another fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see how the second half of the season goes for Rodgers.
