The NFL world has been buzzing over Aaron Rodgers ever since he went down Monday night. While the New York Jets expected to celebrate with him all season, Rodgers suffered an Achilles injury during the game. That injury will sideline the star quarterback for the entire 2023 regular season. It’s an astonishing blow to the Jets and to NFL fans who were hoping to see the multi-time MVP in a new uniform. But that will now have to wait. On Wednesday, Rodgers finally broke his silence with an Instagram post.

“Thank you to every person that has reached out, called, texted, DM’d, connected through a friend, etc.,” Rodgers captioned the post. “It has meant a ton to me, and I’ll try and get back to all of you soon. I’m completely heartbroken and moving through all the emotions, but deeply touched and humbled by the support and love. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I begin the healing process today,” Rodgers said. “The night is darkest before the dawn. And I shall rise yet again.”

Rodgers added the Jets’ pristine 1-0 record to the end of the caption.

The Jets will have to navigate the rest of the season without Rodgers aboard. Head coach Robert Saleh named Zach Wilson the starting quarterback for the remainder of the year. They’ve been linked to veteran quarterbacks but have reportedly balked at one in particular: Colin Kaepernick.

The NFL world had plenty to say after Aaron Rodgers broke his silence. That included comments from teammates like Sauce Gardner.
