Just over three months ago, New York Jets star quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffered what appeared to be a season-ending Achilles injury during the team’s season-opener. But in a rather shocking turn of events, it sounds like he’s actually back on the practice field and looking like his old self.

Aaron Rodgers practiced with the team on Thursday and Friday this week. During a recent press conference, New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh had a rather insane update, given the severity of his injury, claiming that the future Hall of Fame quarterback “looks normal” on the practice field despite the serious injury he sustained just three months ago.

“He looks normal to me,” Robert Saleh said according to Dennis Waszak Jr. of the Associated Press. “It’s unbelievable. Credit to him, especially in this day and age where a hangnail can affect a game week, but this dude is grinding to try to get himself back. It just shows how much he cares. I have an appreciation for him.”

Rodgers has already been ruled out of this week’s game against the Miami Dolphins, but if the Jets are able to come away with a victory against the Dolphins on Sunday, there’s a chance that Rodgers could return to the field the following week with the Jets still technically in playoff contention.
