It’s been obvious to anybody watching the Green Bay Packers this season that the team is struggling offensively in the passing game, and that was extremely evident on Sunday afternoon during the team’s 27-10 loss to the New York Jets.

In the shocking loss, Packers quarterbacks Jordan Love and Aaron Rodgers combined to go just 10-for-28 on passes to wide receivers, with most of the passing game going to running backs out of the backfield. It’s concerning for the Packers, especially after Rodgers called out the young receivers before the season.

If Green Bay is going to bounce back this season, it looks like the team might have to make some moves before the trade deadline. And according to Rodgers, he and Packers General Manager Brian Gutekunst “have had a number of conversations” about such moves ahead of the trade deadline.

“There’s the possibility if certain guys emerge of us having a chance to make a run. I know Brian believes the same thing,” Rodgers said according to Jason Wilde of Madison.com. “But if there’s an opportunity, I would expect that Brian will be in the mix.”

Through six weeks, the Packers are currently 3-3 after losing back-to-back games to the New York Giants and the New York Jets.
