The New York Giants are looking to get things turned around under new quarterback Russell Wilson after moving on from the Daniel Jones era last season. As great a career as Wilson has had, the Giants know that they’ll have to be better on the defensive side of the ball as well.

In an effort to get this done, the Giants drafted star pass rusher Abdul Carter in the first round of the NFL draft. Now, Carter has agreed to terms on his rookie deal, and per one prominent league insider, it’s fully guaranteed.

“Giants first-round pick Abdul Carter signed his four-year, fully-guaranteed $45,255,180 deal, per his agents Drew Rosenhaus, Robert Bailey and Jason Rosenhaus,” reported ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Thursday.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“Looking forward to him signing with the Eagles after this contract,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“These rooks are getting BREAD SHEESH,” another fan added.

“You don’t come to Penn State for a college pay day. You come to Penn State for a NFL pay day,” one Penn State fan wrote after Carter’s deal.

“My god. Congrats Abdul!! Go kill it,” someone else added.

It’ll be interesting to see if Carter can live up to the massive deal.
