The Indianapolis Colts may very well just be the feel-good story of the NFL this year. In her first season fully running the team since the death of her father, Jim Irsay, Carlie Gordon-Irsay has guided the Colts to the second-best record in the NFL at 7-2, and a win on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons would bring them back into a tie for the best record.
The Colts, led by veteran quarterback Daniel Jones, have been the best offense in the NFL this season. Unfortunately for Jones and the Colts, the defense has room for improvement, and last weekend’s loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers showd just how dicey things can get for Indy when the offense isn’t on fire.
Now, it looks like Jones is going to have to shoulder even more of a load than he had through the first nine games of the season, as the Colts are going to be without one of their key defensive contributors against the Falcons, according to ESPN’s senior NFL insider Adam Schefter.
“Colts DE DeForest Buckner will not travel with the team to Berlin and has been ruled out of Sunday’s game vs. the Falcons due to a neck injury,” Schefter reported on Thursday.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“I swear Shane said no injuries coming out of the Pittsburgh game didn’t he? Why are we so weird with injuries?” one Colts fan wrote on Twitter.
“I’m sure this is because we have to fly to Europe, Buck never misses games. Thanks NFL,” another fan added.
“That’s cool. Take a couple weeks and be ready for KC,” someone else added.
It’ll be interesting to see how Jones and the Colts look down the stretch.
