While Allen Lazard initially signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars after going not getting selected in the 2018 NFL Draft, he was waived before the season began. So, for all intents and purposes, the Green Bay Packers is the only NFL organization he’s ever played for. But when the next NFL season kicks off, Lazard doesn’t know if that will still be true.

After Sunday’s season-ending loss to the Detroit Lions, Lazard was asked if he expected Aaron Rodgers to return to the Packers. Lazard made it known that he’s too unsure of his own future to worry about Rodgers.

“I don’t f*****g know s**t — I don’t know where I’m gonna be at,” a chuckling Lazard said (H/T Nicole Menner, Fox 11 News in Green Bay). “I can’t worry about somebody else…Definitely going into the game, I kind of had a realization that my first game here — which is this — was going to be versus the Lions at home. I took in just a few moments to soak it all in and just like, pat myself on the back, I guess and just be thankful for this opportunity and this experience to be here for four-plus years now.”

Lazard certainly didn’t match the production of Green Bay’s previous No. 1 receiver, Davante Adams. But while rookie Christian Watson emerged as a potential star in the latter parts of the 2022 season, Lazard was the leading receiver for the Packers throughout the year. His 60 receptions and 788 receiving yards were first on the team, while Lazard’s six touchdowns were second only to Watson, who had seven.

But with Lazard entering free agency and Watson and Romeo Doubs both heading into their second seasons, it wouldn’t be surprising if Lazard has played his last game as a Packer.
