New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara is being sued by a man who alleges Kamara and three associates brutally assaulted him outside a Las Vegas nightclub during Pro Bowl weekend in February, TMZ reports.
Darnell Greene is seeking $10 million in damages.
Greene alleges the assault began when Kamara and company, including Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Chris Lammons, refused to let him use an elevator. The beating “broke Green’s orbital lobe, severely injured his shoulder, back, and neck, and left him temporarily unconscious and helpless on the floor,” TMZ says the lawsuit states.
“I connected with that [expletive]’s jaw so hard,” Kamara is quoted as saying in the lawsuit.
According to TMZ, the lawsuit provides “pictures of Green’s bloody face following the alleged beatdown … as well as still shots from security footage — and the victim claims NFL commissioner Roger Goodell saw the surveillance videos but ‘is choosing not to take corrective action.'”
Kamara faces a felony battery charge from the incident but continues playing for the Saints. Last week against the Seattle Seahawks, he rushed 23 times for 103 yards. He also added six receptions.
Kamara and the Saints are next in action Sunday when they host Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals.
