On Sunday afternoon, New Orleans Saints star running back Alvin Kamara made his return to the NFL after completing his three-game suspension. Unfortunately, his presence did not appear to spark the offense to success, and he had some pretty harsh words about that.
The Saints suffered a 26-9 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday afternoon as the offense never really started clicking. After the game, Alvin Kamara opened up about his frustration with the offense, making it clear that he is not happy with the team’s production on that side of the ball.
“It’s been two years since we had that offense that was rolling. Now we’re kind of in this rut of,” Kamara said according to John Sigler of USAToday.com. “It is what it is right now. What you see. Like I said, we’ve got to have some conversations about something. Because I don’t like losing.”
Kamara finished the game with 13 catches, but managed just 33 yards in total on those receptions, so it’s clear that the team’s gameplan simply was not working on Sunday.
It will be interesting to see how the team’s offense evolves going forward from this and whether or not they can find consistency on the offensive side of the ball.
