After it came out that quarterback Aaron Rodgers tested positive for COVID-19 and would miss this weekend’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs, many began connecting the dots about what’s going on with Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers.
From Rodgers saying he was “immunized” but not vaccinated to reports of petitioning the NFL to approve his “alternative treatment” as being vaccinated (something the NFL didn’t approve) to following protocols for unvaccinated players in private but yet conducting news conferences in-person unmasked (illegal for unvaccinated players), it was a snowball rolling down the mountain as many reacted to the saga.
Obviously, the Packers were going to try and minimize all this from their end. No one is expecting them to shout from the rooftops that their star QB has COVID and mislead the public about his actual vaccination status. That being said, the Packers were still active on social media as they wished head coach Matt LaFleur a happy birthday.

This is…a choice.
LaFleur eventually elaborated during his afternoon press conference that Jordan Love would start instead of Rodgers and that Rodgers has COVID but in the morning it was like the Packers were just going to press on and ignore what everyone else was talking about.
I’m not sure if Coach LaFleur is having a happy birthday this year but it’s nice to know that despite his unvaccinated quarterback being out for COVID, his team still has his back with positive vibes on his special day.
