It’s been over a decade since Andy Reid was fired as the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles, meaning the vast majority of the Eagles’ current roster did not play for Reid when he was in Philadelphia. But one did: defensive end Brandon Graham. And he had a special message for his former coach after Reid beat the Eagles as the head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Brandon Graham was selected by Andy Reid and the Eagles with the No. 13 overall pick in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft. Graham went on to play three seasons for him before Reid was fired in 2012. And even though it’s been a long time since the two were on the same team, it’s clear they still have a good relationship.

NFL Films recently released footage that shows Graham running across the field after Sunday night’s Super Bowl to find Reid as the Chiefs celebrated their victory.

“Gotta show respect. I had to come get you,” Graham told Reid, according to Pro Football Talk.

“I love you,” Reid said.

“I love you too,” Graham said. “I had to come give you some love. You deserve that right there. You deserve that, coach.”

It’s certainly cool to see their relationship remain so strong all these years later.
