For the past few months, it’s looked like Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Bryce Young and Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback C.J. Stroud would be the two top quarterbacks in the 2023 NFL Draft. But now it appears there’s another quarterback joining them at the top of the draft boards: Florida Gators quarterback Anthony Richardson.

Though Richardson might not have had quite the eye-popping stats or the success of Young and Stroud, he’s clearly very athletic with an incredibly strong arm. And it seems like NFL scouts are taking notice at the NFL Combine this week.

“The buzz surrounding Anthony Richardson this week is palpable. He’s truly gone from a first round curiosity to a likely top-three selection. You may very well see QBs go 1, 2, and 3 in April. Far cry from last year,” Smith said in a tweet.

It’s unclear just how high Richardson will be selected in the upcoming NFL Draft, but as he continues to vault up draft boards, it’s becoming more and more possible that he could be a top-five pick in the upcoming draft, which would certainly have been unexpected just a few months ago.
