The last time Antonio Brown was on an NFL football field, he was taking his jersey off while on the field and retiring from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the middle of a game. But it looks like the former All-Pro wide receiver is trying to make a comeback to the league.

This week, Antonio Brown will be returning to the football field in some capacity for the first time since his retirement, suiting up for the Albany Empire arena football team, which he also owns. But according to his agent, it sounds like Brown could be trying to make a comeback to the NFL.

Brown’s agent JR Ricker discussed his client’s future on the football field on Thursday, announcing that Brown has received “genuine interest” from multiple NFL teams ahead of the 2023-24 season.

“He is exploring the right fit,” Ricker told Cody Benjamin of CBS Sports.

It’s a pretty major announcement from a player who was at the top of the sport before his sudden departure from the league, and the NFL world had plenty to say about it on Twitter as a result.

It will certainly be interesting to see if Brown does sign with an NFL team before the start of the 2023 season.
