The NFL made the shocking decision to choose Spanish-language artist Bad Bunny as the headlining halftime performing artist for Super Bowl LX, despite all of the political turmoil surrounding the Trump administration and ICE.
“Bad Bunny represents the global energy and cultural vibrancy that define today’s music scene. As one of the most influential and streamed artists in the world, his unique ability to bridge genres, languages, and audiences makes him an exciting and natural choice to take the Super Bowl halftime stage,” said Jon Baker, the SVP of Global Event Production for the NFL.
“We know his dynamic performances, creative vision, and deep connection with fans will deliver the kind of unforgettable experience we’ve come to expect from this iconic cultural moment.”
Many of Trump’s most ardent supporters were incensed by the decision. Now, those same people will likely get even more upset.
Per Radar Online, “a stylist involved in the Spanish-speaking rapper’s top-secret fittings” shared with the outlet that Bad Bunny is “100 percent going to wear a dress” during his halftime performance as a way to honor queer icons.

Fans reacted to the report from Radar Online on social media.
“Donald Trump needs to tell the NFL to stop being woke,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Oh look another reason i stopped caring about sportsball,” someone else added.
“PR disaster for the NFL incoming. And they have no one to blame but themselves,” another person added.
It’ll be interesting to see how the move is received.
