The Baltimore Ravens have quite the promotion for fans this weekend as they open up their home schedule this season. Some teams may give away free rally towels, schedule magnets, or bobbleheads, but the Ravens are giving all fans a chance to get a free DNA analysis.

Yes, that’s right. Now, when you go to a Ravens game this weekend, you could walk away not only seeing your favorite team win, but also have a deeper understanding of your genetic makeup.

The sponsor for the DNA testing is Orig3n, a biotech firm. The DNA test is not mandatory, but those who wish to take advantage of the promotion will have their mouths swabbed and have their sample filed away for analysis. If you ever wanted to know how your nutrition, aging, mental health stack up, this DNA analysis will do just that.

“This is the first time that DNA tests are being distributed to fans at a football stadium and we believe this is an incredible opportunity to reach many people at once,” Orig3n CEO Robin Smith said in a story published by CBS Baltimore. “Ravens DNA Day is the perfect way to kick off the season and our unique partnership.”

We’ll have to wait and see just how many Ravens fans participate in this promotion. If it is successful, it may just pop up at an NFL game near you in the future.
