The Baltimore Ravens know that the time is now, while two-time MVP-winning quarterback Lamar Jackson is in his prime, to make a serious run at the Lombardi Trophy. However, to this point in his career, Jackson has yet to advance past the AFC championship game.
2025 may very well be the year that Jackson and the Ravens put everything together and go the distance, but the beginning of the season looks like it’s going to be a lot more difficult to navigate than the franchise might’ve initially anticipated.
“Ravens HC John Harbaugh told reporters that TE Isaiah Likely rolled his ankle and is now expected to miss a few weeks,” reported ESPN’s senior NFL insider Adam Schefter on Tuesday.
Unfortunately, news broke on Wednesday that the injury is more severe than just a rolled ankle.
“Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely suffered a small foot fracture during Tuesday’s practice, sources told (Jamison Hensley) and me. If all goes well, it’s an early season return and Week 1 is possible,” Jeremy Fowler reported.
Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“This means week 5 in Harbaugh terms if we’re lucky,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“we don’t need to see son until week 4-5, mark andrews and kolar can hold it down till then. Get healthy!” another Ravens fan wrote.
It’ll be interesting to see how veteran tight end Mark Andrews handles the increased workload during Likely’s absence.
