Bears Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

The Chicago Bears made headlines earlier this off-season with their blockbuster trade of the No. 1 overall pick. As it turns out, the Bears might not be done trading yet.

According to EJ Snyder of the Bootleg Football Podcast, the team has spoken to one other NFL team about another potential NFL Draft trade. That team? The Pittsburgh Steelers.

“Bears and Steelers are possible,” Snyder said of the two potential trade partners, via Blitzburgh. “They’ve talked about it. I know they’ve talked about it.”

Snyder went on to say that “it’s by no means for sure” that the two sides will agree to a trade. But he did some basic dot-connecting himself. “The most likely connect the dots moment is that Pittsburgh needs and a tackle and they go up for one because there’s one they like and they’ll be gone by the time they pick at 17,” Snyder hypothesized.

Chicago scored a huge haul when they traded the top pick in this year’s draft. The Bears sent the No. 1 overall pick to the Carolina Panthers in exchange for the 9th overall pick, several other picks, and star wide receiver D.J. Moore.

The team likely won’t gain that big of a package back for the 9th overall pick, but building up draft capital is as sure a strategy as any. So we’ll see how things shake down here.
