Despite reports to the contrary that say that Tom Brady, who will be a free agent at the end of the year, may be considering a return to the Patriots, head coach Bill Belichick is all in on current starting quarterback Mac Jones.
ESPN’s Mike Reiss, who covers the Patriots, says that Belichick has no interest in reuniting with Brady and is totally behind Mac Jones.
“Full commitment to Mac,” Reiss said. “Like, make no mistake about it. They are all in on Mac. So, as we talk about this, I wouldn’t want anything to ever come across as if, like, they were second-guessing that position.”

When pressed about what the players’ thoughts are, Reiss said “I think Belichick and the players,”
Jones was the only rookie quarterback to take his team to the playoffs last year and despite the team’s early struggles, have them on the verge of making it again.
It was well documented that when Brady left for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, his relationship with Belichick had soured over the years despite the fact that the pair won six Super Bowls together.
So if Tom Brady does end up leaving Tampa for New England, his role may be as backup and mentor to Mac Jones.
