With one week of the 2022-23 NFL season underway, the Las Vegas Raiders are making a move to bolster their offensive line by signing interior offensive lineman Billy Price, who was a first-round pick out of Ohio State in the 2018 NFL Draft.

According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the Raiders are initially signing Price to their practice squad, but he has a chance to be elevated to the team’s 53-man roster.

“The Las Vegas Raiders are signing former first-round pick Billy Price to the practice squad, per source. Has a chance for elevation to the 53-man roster as [the] Raiders have been looking for O-line help. Bengals’ former top pick started for Giants last year,” Fowler said in a Tweet.

Price was initially selected by the Cincinnati Bengals with the No. 21 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft after starting four seasons on Ohio State’s offensive line and winning the 2017 Rimington Award, given to the college football’s top center.

Though he was a high draft pick, Price never quite caught on in Cincinnati and fell out of the starting lineup after two seasons with the team. However, Price revitalized his NFL career with the New York Giants last season, starting 15 games for the team in 2021.
