Anyone who grew up playing video games when all you had was an eight-way directional pad and two buttons and you knew the Contra Code by heart likely has a fond appreciation for one of the most beloved sports franchises before the likes of John Madden started pumping out annual titles. We’re talking, of course, about Tecmo Bowl.
The ad wizards at Kia know what’s up with Tecmo Bowl and are going old school with a new series of commercials to capitalize on our nostalgia.
What better way to get it all kicked off than by using the most dominant player from Tecmo Bowl and Tecmo Super Bowl, Mr. Bo Jackson himself. Watch as Jackson makes a defense look like fools, then leaves the stadium to get behind the wheel of a 2017 Kia Sorento only to return and shred them once more.
