The Seattle Seahawks shockingly released eight-time Pro-Bowl linebacker Bobby Wagner this offseason and they may come to regret that decision pretty soon.
ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported Thursday that Wagner has agreed to terms with the Los Angeles Rams on a five-year deal worth $50 million and incentives that can make it up to $65 million.

It is a massive get for the Rams, who have been lacking at the inside linebacker position for years. This deal will keep Wagner in Los Angeles through the 2026-27 season.
The signing has many around the NFL world excited to see just how dominant an already impressive defense can be with Wagner manning the linebacker position next season.
This is how a team that’s 100% committed to winning the Super Bowl acts in the offseason. https://t.co/kAJb0ZCKpE

Have to appreciate/respect what the #Rams have done. They took an unsolved game (building Super Bowl winning franchises), introduced a plan vs. traditional "build through the draft, keep your cap situation healthy, draft your FQB) and it worked.
Now, they're going for more. https://t.co/GA7KrrMLc1— Dan Schneier (@DanSchneierNFL) March 31, 2022
#Rams salary cap is limitless, #49ers cap is tighter than spandex on Charles Barkley… https://t.co/9X5WBfI4m3

Rams defensive players Jordan Fuller and Jalen Ramsey posted on social media as well, seemingly very excited to learn Wagner would be their new teammate.

It has to hurt for Seahawks fans to know they will not only be without Wagner next season but that they will also see him play for a divisional rival for years to come.
Wagner has gone to the Pro Bowl in each of the last eight seasons, clearly showing that he has some impressive football left in him. He will be a huge part of the Rams’ defense as they attempt to go to back-to-back Super Bowls.
This deal also clearly shows that Rams general manager Les Snead is fully committed to winning. He has shown time and time again that he doesn’t care about draft picks or having a tight salary cap, just putting the best possible team on the field, which is extremely commendable.
