Brandon Aiyuk led off the first NFL Sunday of the season with an ankle-breaking touchdown.

The San Francisco 49ers made good on their first drive of the year. They went down Heinz Field and scored a touchdown with ease against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Aiyuk ensured that the Niners would start the year off right and out in front. To get there, he had to beat veteran cornerback Patrick Peterson. And, well, he sure did that.

Aiyuk ran up and juked Peterson so hard that he fell down. It’s safe to say that Peterson isn’t going to want to include that play in his highlight tape when his great career comes to a close.

The touchdown stirred up the NFL world, who is enjoying the first Sunday of the season. It’s a big day. This also was the first touchdown on the board on the day. So everyone was just waiting for the moment, and then it arrived in epic fashion.

The Niners currently lead the Steelers 10-0, as Aiyuk’s touchdown got them off to a hot start. They couldn’t follow through with six on their ensuing drive, but made sure to get points anyway. The Steelers will have to put this play behind them quick if they want to get a comeback effort going.

The NFL world had plenty to say about the ankle-breaking touchdown.
