Earlier this week, the Denver Broncos made the decision to part ways with longtime kicker Brandon McManus, who spent the past nine years with the team. And on Sunday morning, it became clear that he has nothing but good feelings as he leaves the Broncos.
Following his release this week, McManus took out a full-page ad in the Sunday edition of the Denver Post where he wrote a letter to the Broncos fanbase and individually thanked more than 150 Denver Broncos staff members.
“I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible support you have shown me and my family over the past 9 years. Your unwavering support, relentless cheers, and unconditional love has been the driving force behind my time as a Denver Bronco. The electrifying atmosphere at Empower Field, with its sea of orange and deafening roar, is something that will forever be etched in my heart. Each time I stepped onto the field, I was filled with a sense of awe and inspiration, ready to make a game winning kick,” McManus wrote.

“But it is not just the game that has made our time in Denver so special. It is the incredible sense of community and the genuine warmth that emanates from this city. You have embraced my family as your own, providing tireless support and love in every step of our journey. The friendships we have forged and the connections we have made will forever hold a cherished place in our hearts. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for making Denver Feel like home.”
McManus then signed the letter “Super Bowl 50 Champion Brandon McManus” before individually thanking more than 150 members of the Denver Broncos staff.
The letter has since gone viral on social media.
