If you believe the Denver Broncos’ general manager, the team won’t trade Jerry Jeudy soon. Earlier this week, GM George Paton erased the idea that the team would trade its wide receiver. Paton denied that the team would trade the former Alabama star wideout and said he would be in the Mile High City.

“I spoke at the owner’s meetings. We’re high, really high on Jerry. We don’t anticipate doing anything with Jerry,” Paton said via NFL.com.

“We like Jerry. He’s going to be here,” Paton emphatically said.

Jeudy is poised to make $4,834,128 in 2023. The fourth-year wide receiver has a fifth-year option worth nearly $13 million the team can still pick up for 2024. That they haven’t yet is probably partly why trade rumors circulated. But Paton insists they won’t trade him.

This follows in line with what new head coach Sean Payton said as well. Payton made a similar claim about Jeudy and his trade prospects earlier this off-season.

Denver selected Jeudy 15th overall in the 2020 NFL Draft. Jeudy previously starred at Alabama, where he had a celebrated career. He’s played in 41 career games in the NFL since 2020. In that time, he’s caught 157 passes, recorded 2,295 yards, and nine receiving touchdowns. Last season, Jeudy scored a career-high six touchdowns after going 0-for in 10 games in 2021.

So it sounds like you might have to play Madden if you want a Jerry Jeudy trade.
