The Cleveland Browns opened training camp with a loaded quarterback room. Following Deshaun Watson’s Achilles injury and subsequent setback in recovery, the Browns traded for Kenny Pickett, signed Joe Flacco, and drafted Dillon Gabriel and Shadeur Sanders.
Pickett has since been temporarily sidelined with a hamstring injury, and the Browns are now starting to decide how they’ll proceed with the four quarterbacks, according to one prominent outlet.
“Browns are ‘likely’ to trade one player from the group of Joe Flacco, Shedeur Sanders, Kenny Pickett and Dillon Gabriel prior to Week 1, via ESPN,” reported Bleacher Report on Monday.
Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“Knowing the Browns, they realized they didn’t think this through and they’re destined to cut one instead,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“It’s interesting to see the wide range of opinions about Sanders. I think he’ll stick and wouldn’t surprise me if start several games this season,” someone else wrote.
“They’re not trading a rookie. Flacco or picket getting shipped for a mid round pick,” another fan added.
“Kenny probably the starter. Flacco has zero value. The fan base would light the facility on fire if they traded Shedeur. Soooo, Dillon Gabriel it is,” one fan predicted.
It’ll be interesting to see which quarterback the Browns elect to move on from.
