The Cleveland Browns’ quarterback struggles in recent years have been highly publicized, raising questions as to what the organization plans to do to improve the position heading into 2025. But according to star edge rusher Myles Garrett, the rest of the team also needs to do a better job of picking up whatever quarterback potentially comes to town.
Cleveland has been linked to several quarterbacks in the 2025 NFL Draft, where they will have the No. 2 overall pick just behind the Tennessee Titans.
While it’s not a given that the Browns will be going in that direction with their top draft pick, it seems like Garrett is at the very least bracing for the possibility.
During an appearance on ESPN Cleveland earlier this week, Garrett spoke about what he and the rest of his teammates can do to help a young quarterback limit the amount of struggles right away and instead turn the Browns into a winner.
“Any team that’s going to go far needs a quarterback and one that’s young, can learn, and is willing to be patient with the process,” Garrett told Browns Radio Network earlier this week, via a video from Content Browns on X. “There’s going to be some bumps in the road. It’s going to be some learning pains. But us as a team has to be able to be a landing pad for him, and know being on the defensive side, help him out whenever things go wrong.
“That’s not for just a young quarterback. That’s for veterans and guys who’ve been here for a while. So as far as quarterbacks, whether it’s one from the draft or an older guy, they have some help not only in their room but from some of the veterans.”
The Andrew S interview with Myles got all the publicity but listen to this and you make a decision on what Myles believes is going to happen……

Whether it be Cam Ward, Shedeur Sanders, or potentially another young quarterback in Cleveland, it seems like Myles Garrett is fully committed to making Cleveland the best possible environment for them.
Only time will tell how that plays out. But at least Garrett is acknowledging the shortcomings of the organization as of late on that front.
