The Cleveland Browns 2024 season went miserably. Despite entering the year predicted by many fans and pundits to make the playoffs, the Browns went 3-14 on the season, earning rights to the second overall pick in the upcoming NFL draft.
For much of the season, the Browns were without fan-favorite running back Nick Chubb, as he worked his way back from a devastating injury he suffered against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2023 season.
Even after Chubb finally worked his way back, he suffered another season ending in Week 15 when he broke his foot.
Unfortunately, he wasn’t the only Browns running back to deal with injuries throughout the season.
Nyheim Hines signed with Cleveland in March after suffering a torn ACL in a jet ski accident back in 2023 but failed to appear in a single game for the Browns. Now, the team has decided to move on, according to one prominent NFL insider.
“Browns have released RB Nyheim Hines,” reported Ari Meirov on Tuesday.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“Dude literally never played a single snap,” one fan acknowledged on Twitter.
“wouldn’t mind bringing Hines in on a Veteran minimum deal. Hines brings a little bit of that ‘Joker; play style that Sean Payton loves,” a Denver Broncos fan wrote.
“Tired of never giving our return specialists a chance bruh. He could’ve been useful,” one Browns fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see what’s next for Hines.
