The Tampa Bay Buccaneers narrowly missed the playoffs this season, finishing behind the Carolina Panthers in the NFC South due to a tiebreaker. As a result, it sounds like the team is making a coaching change.

While head coach Todd Bowles is expected to remain in Tampa for another season despite missing the postseason this year, the team is still making some changes.

According to a report from NFL insider Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Buccaneers have decided to fire offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard after just one year with the team.

“Sources: Bucs fired OC Josh Grizzard after he served just one season on the job, replacing Liam Coen,” Schefter wrote in a post on X on Thursday morning.

Grizzard served as the team’s pass game coordinator in 2024, but was promoted to offensive coordinator in 2025 following the departure of previous offensive coordinator Liam Coen, who left the team to become head coach of the Jaguars.

Early in the 2025 season, the move seemed to be working out. However, the team’s offense regressed throughout the season and the team is now making a change.

In addition to firing Grizzard, the team has also decided to part ways with quarterbacks coach Thad Lewis, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.

So, while Bowles is set to remain the head coach, the team’s coaching staff will look quite a bit different after a disappointing end to the season.
