Professional athletes have immense platforms and are important role model figures for young children. That’s why it’s always dissapointing when an athlete fails to uphold the standard, even when he or she isn’t competing.
That’s what appears to be the case with young Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Tez Johnson. In a video shared on TikTok, J0hnson’s fiancée claims that he was texting his ex-girlfriend about meeting up and engaging in actions of a sexual nature, while providing screenshots of what she alleges is him coordinating the actions.

It’s a messy situation all around, and fans reacted to the video on social media.
“Man, that’s heartbreaking timing… proposing one minute and sending those messages the next? Trust shattered in real time. Some people really show who they are when it matters most. What do y’all think, can this kind of thing ever be forgiven? Drop your takes below,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“She slick kinda dumb for not goin through with the marriage then divorcing for the bag, which NORMALLY is the scummiest thing a woman can do but it’d be understandable in this case,” someone else added.
“Yeah he shouldn’t have cheated but you don’t have a platform lol you went from dating a 3rd string wide receiver to being a nobody again. Your ‘platform’ came from him,” one partcularly jaded person added.
“The Black Males Against Cheating (aka BMAC) association will take care of him. Please continue on with your day,” one person joked.
