Monday’s Wild Card matchup between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Dallas Cowboys featured an extremely uncharacteristic mistake from Tom Brady that could certainly come back to bite the Buccaneers.
The play occurred at the beginning of the second quarter after Brady led the Buccaneers down to the Cowboys’ five-yard line.
The veteran quarterback has always been known for protecting the football, but he made a horrible decision and threw an embarrassing interception to Cowboys safety Jayron Kearse with no clear Buccaneers player in sight.

Peyton Manning perfectly summed up this blunder from Brady on Monday’s final Manningcast of the season, in shock at this seemingly rookie mistake from such an accomplished player.
“Oh no! no, Tom! no,” said Manning. “That is Tom’s first interception in the red zone since he has been in Tampa. That is not like him.”
The NFL world echoed Manning’s sentiments when it came to Brady’s horrible interception, blasting him for such a brutal mistake considering his typical excellence when it comes to ball security.

Tom Brady and the Buccaneers have had their fair share of struggles this season, but even throughout that Brady has been fair responsible with the football.
It seemed like Brady was trying to throw this ball away more than looking for an actual target to throw this pass to. Regardless, this play obviously cost the Buccaneers a potential touchdown that they very much could need down the stretch of this game.
