Earlier this offseason, there was a clear disconnect between Stefon Diggs and the Buffalo Bills that had some wondering if the team was looking to trade their star receiver, or if maybe Diggs had requested a trade from the team. But it appears that neither of those scenarios was the truth.

Despite the strange absence from Stefon Diggs when the team began their first day of mandatory minicamp, Buffalo Bills General Manager Brandon Beane made it clear that there were no trade talks involving their star receiver, saying that the possibility of a trade “never came up” in conversations with Diggs.

“No, no one called on Diggs. I think people know that he’s ours,” Beane said during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show. “Even if there was an issue, and he was never asking to be traded, it never came up.”

Beane did acknowledge that there was something the team and Diggs needed to work out between them, but it was more about “getting on the same page” than anything else.

“It truly was never an issue, it was just more us getting in a room and talking through how last season finished and getting on the same page,” Beane said.

Whatever it was, it’s clear that it’s behind them and the team can now look forward to the upcoming season.
