Cam Newton has made many fashion statements off the field, but tonight he made one on the gridiron. The Carolina Panthers’ quarterback took the field for pregame warmups wearing a fox tail tucked into the heel of his white, black, and gold cleats.
Twitter quickly exploded, and the conclusion appears to be that these cleats would look better on a professional wrestler.

The cleats are basically a combination of two of Newton’s previous fashion looks. During a press conference last November, Newton wore a fox tail tucked into his jeans. During the trip to Super Bowl 50, the quarterback wore zebra-striped pants with a gold design on the outside part of the legs, once again drawing comparisons to wrestling.
