Viewers of Saturday night’s game between the Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots were surprised when Colts QB Carson Wentz got in the face of Patriots pass rusher Matt Judon after a play in the third quarter. So angry was Wentz that his teammates had to hold him back, which is saying something considering Wentz is not considered a bully of any kind.

After the game, in which the Colts won 27-17 thanks in large part to Jonathan Taylor’s big night, Wentz was asked about what made him so mad. Turns out, he felt that Judon had challenged his, uh, ability to reproduce?

“Don’t need to go into specifics, obviously, but when a man’s ability to reproduce is being in question and there’s some other extracurriculars, guys’ hands need to be at their sides,” Wentz said, via the Indianapolis Star. “Let’s just say that. When that happens, you can get pretty riled up.

“I don’t know if I’ve ever been that fired up on the football field.”

As far as what Judon said or did specifically, even the Patriots defender isn’t sure what Wentz is referring to.

“I don’t know,” Judon said. “Leave it out on the field. Carson’s a good guy. He got mad about something, who knows, and I guess that anger was directed towards me.”

Wentz, who literally reproduced a few weeks back, seems to be developing a reputation for being the NFL guy who always seems to be involved in some kind of storyline related to his crotch.

NFL fans took to Twitter to react to the specifics of Wentz’s quote and try to figure out exactly what happened.

The good news is that, presumably, Wentz is free to continue reproducing, the Colts are back in the playoff hunt, and they might just meet the Patriots again once they get there. Hands at your sides, everyone!
