When it comes to being the “greatest entertainer to ever grace the football field,” nobody compares to Chad Ochocinco. At least according to Chad Ochocinco.

The veteran wide receiver roamed the fields during his 11-year career, and while he earned six Pro Bowl selections, he put on a show in other ways.

He was known for his touchdown celebrations, among other things, and didn’t leave the gridiron without a highlight or five.

“I consider myself obviously the greatest entertainer to ever grace the football field, as far as I’m concerned,” Ochocinco recently told Fox News.

This required choreography of some sort, of course.

“They’re all planned, obviously. You gotta do things that have never been done before, so I have to plan it,” he added. “I want to be very creative, very authentic, and make sure I do stuff that’s never been done before, and that’s what I did.”

Growing up, one player Ochocinco wanted to emulate was Super Bowl-winning wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson. He too wasn’t one to shy away from endzone celebrations.

While Ochocinco backed up some of those celebrations, and actions, with the numbers on the field, he admitted his impact went beyond that.

“Honestly, it’s not even just statistical. My impact in general, on a generation of people, it’s much bigger than just stats as far as what I’ve done for the game,” Ochocinco said.
