In a twist of fate, the Los Angeles Chargers might be getting a dose of… good luck? The Chargers play the Indianapolis Colts on Monday Night Football and, with a victory, can clinch their first postseason berth since the 2018-19 season. Prior to their MNF matchup, news that Charger fans have to like surfaced. Four-time Pro Bowler Joey Bosa could be back on the field very soon.

NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport and reporter Bridget Condon reported that Bosa could return to practice this very week. Condon tweeted, “The Chargers can clinch a spot in the playoffs tonight with a win. More good news? Sources are telling me and @RapSheet that Joey Bosa is expected to return to practice this week. He’s been out since Week 3 with a groin injury.” Rapoport added that the Chargers are “getting stronger” with the star defender set to come back to practice.

In his seven seasons in the league, the former Ohio State standout recorded double-digit sacks in four of them. His career high was 12.5, which he set in his second season in the NFL in 2017. So, suffice it to say, Bosa has been a huge contributor to the Chargers’ defense since they selected him in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

Bosa has not played since Week 3 of the 2022 season when he sustained a torn groin.
