The San Francisco 49ers had an extremely disappointing season that was completely derailed by injuries to star players from the offset. However, the on-the-field outcomes were far from the worst things to occur in San Francisco this season.
Niners cornerback Charvarius Ward and his wife lost his daughter this season in what can only be described as a tragedy. It appears that Ward and his family will be more at peace if they move on from San Francisco and some of the memories there in his upcoming free agency.
“49ers CB and impending free agent Charvarius Ward said he might not return to San Francisco, not because of anything related to the team, but due to the personal trauma he experienced in California after the passing of his daughter this season. He shared that every time he flies into the state, it brings back painful memories, and his spouse has already left California because of what happened,” reported NFL insider Ari Meirov on Monday.

Fans reacted to the heartbreaking news on social media.
“I completely understand, grief is a powerful feeling. Mother passed 10 months ago and the ride to her house to visit my step-father is almost unbearable. I can’t visit longer than a day,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Friendly reminder he still played games with heavy heart for his team while Devondre Campbell (complained) and refused to play,” one fan added.
“Spoke to my mom about this over the holidays. Losing your kid is the most painful feeling one can experience in a lifetime. It’s a form of unconditional love that nothing can really duplicate. That type of trauma is just different man,” another fan added.
Hopefully, Ward and his family can find peace, wherever that may be.
