Over the past few years, Chicago Bears wide receiver Darnell Mooney has emerged as the top wide receiver on the team’s roster, hauling in over 1,000 receiving yards during the 2021 season. Unfortunately for him, his 2022 season was cut short when he suffered a season-ending ankle injury in Week 12. But it sounds like he’ll be ready for the start of the 2023 NFL season.
During a recent interview with Kaitlin Sharkey of GNSportsTV, Darnell Mooney said that he is feeling good this offseason and that he is prepared to play, saying “I’m ready to roll.”
He also had a pretty bold message to Chicago Bears fans after all the struggles the team has gone through over the past few years: “Get ready to win. Tired of losing. Just get ready to win.”

Mooney’s health is a big story heading into the 2023 NFL season, and the NFL world had plenty to say about it on social media as a result.

Sounds like the team has a different mentality this year – I think the kids have a lot to do with that. Poles has drafted kids with a fierce love for football and real leadership qualities

With the addition of former Carolina Panthers star wide receiver DJ Moore, Mooney is unlikely to be the team’s top receiver this season. But he is still an integral part of the offense as the team looks to develop a more dangerous and more consistent passing game.
