The likes of Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce have received a large portion of the credit for the success of the Kansas City Chiefs over the years. However, an underrated part of their consistency over the years has been their solid special teams led by longtime kicker Harrison Butker, who showed off his skills with an unbelievable kick on Thursday night.

Kansas City took on the Denver Broncos on Thursday night, and Butker caught the attention of the NFL world at the end of the first half.

The Chiefs gave Butker an outside chance to extend their 10-0 lead in the second half with a 60-yard field goal with four seconds remaining in the half.

Butker couldn’t have struck this ball with his foot any better, as it looked like it had plenty of distance to make it from even further.

Fans praised him for the terrific kick on social media.

This nearly tied Butker’s previous career-long kick of 62 yards. It also puts him in rare company amongst the elite kickers in NFL history, as he became just the seventh kicker to make two 60-yard kicks in their career.

To say that Butker has been great this season for the Chiefs may not even be doing him justice. Butker has been perfect on the year, making all 10 of his field goal attempts heading into this game. He has also been perfect on extra-point attempts.

While Mahomes and Kelce obviously play a bigger factor in the Chiefs’ success than Butker, Butker has been Mr. Consistant for the Chiefs, and his excellent 60-yard kick only adds to that.
