The Kansas City Chiefs suffered a big loss the offseason, trading star wide receiver Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins after contract negotiations between the two sides went sour.

A player like Hill is irreplaceable with his game-breaking speed, but the Chiefs will try and replicate his production with a committee of players with a number of different skill sets.

They brought in JuJu Smith-Shuster and Marquez Valdes-Scantling this offseason, but one under-the-radar addition has caught the eye of several prominent Chiefs players.

Undrafted rookie wide receiver Justyn Ross has been turning heads within the Chiefs organization after an impressive one-handed catch during the team’s offseason minicamp.

Former MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes took notice of the young receiver’s catch, responding to the team’s post of the catch with the caption “Craziest part about this was dude acted like this was normal after he caught it…@_JRoss8”

Mahomes’s top pass catcher took notice as well, with star tight end Travis Kelce commenting on the catch.

“I felt like I was the only one that got hype when I saw it live!! WE NEED MORE JUICE!! @_jross8

Ross was a standout at Clemson, with his best season coming in his freshman season in 2018 where he went for 1,000 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. He certainly has NFL talent but was hampered through much of his college career with injuries to his back and spine that almost cost him his college career.
Back and spine issues are certainly nothing to mess around with, but if he can stay healthy for the Chiefs he can seemingly make the roster and play a big role in the team’s success in 2022.
