Sunday Night Football in Week 11 featured a great AFC West matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers. The matchup showcased two of the best quarterbacks in the NFL in Justin Herbert and  Patrick Mahomes.

It was a tight battle throughout, with both quarterbacks making huge plays down the stretch of the game.

The Chiefs led by three points late into the fourth quarter when Herbert impressively marched the Chargers down the field with a drive that was capped off with a touchdown pass to wide receiver Joshua Palmer to take the lead.

However, the Chargers left the Chiefs plenty of time to set up a game-winning drive, and Patrick Mahomes and company did just that.

The Chiefs took just six plays to drive down the field. With just 31 seconds remaining, Mahomes was able to link up with star tight end Travis Kelce on a 17-yard touchdown pass to take a 30-27 lead.

Herbert and the Chargers got the ball back with time remaining to tie or win the game, but Chiefs linebacker Nick Bolton secured a Chiefs win with a clutch interception.

Mahomes was certainly excellent as usual on Sunday, and many around the NFL took to social media to praise him for his clutch performance down the stretch against the Chargers.

Much of Mahomes’ success should also be credited to the excellence of Travis Kelce, who caught all three touchdown passes that Mahomes threw in the game.

With this victory, the Chiefs improve to 8-2 on the season, and now hold a commanding lead in the AFC West due to the Chargers falling back to 5-5 on the year.
