The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to avenge their embarrassing loss at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles to cap off last season. Many even thought that the game was the swan song, albeit a sad one, for star tight end Travis Kelce.
However, Kelce decided to return for the 2025 season and play out his contract, with many assuming this would be his last season in the league, especially in light of his recent engagement to pop music sensation Taylor Swift.
Now, Kelce is peeling back the curtain on where his head is heading into the season.
“It’s the last year on the contract, but I’m feeling young and ready to rock,” he said, according to Underdog NFL.
Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“Kelce’s mindset is clear, he’s not coasting, he’s chasing redemption after a disappointing Super Bowl loss,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Young? He ran like his feet were paved to the ground last year,” another fan added, referencing last season, where Kelce didn’t put up the lofty numbers fans have become accustomed to over the course of his career.
“I really hope he retires after this season so I never have to see T*ylor Sw*ft on my tv or timeline again,” another fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see how Kelce and the Chiefs do this season.
