Christian McCaffrey

Lisa McCaffrey, the mother of San Francisco 49ers all-everything Christian McCaffrey, attended her son’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers in the Bay Area on Sunday Night Football.

The 49ers won, 22-16, with McCaffrey scoring the game’s winning touchdown:

“CMC gives the 49ers the lead,” the official NFL account tweeted midway through the fourth quarter.

Though McCaffrey’s mother didn’t know that her son scored the game-winner at the time, nobody can fault her for being excited for her son’s feat on a nationally televised game against an in-state team.

Cameras caught Lisa McCaffrey dropping a celebratory f-bomb after the touchdown:

“Lisa McCaffrey was fired up for Christian McCaffrey’s game sealing touchdown,” Alex Tran said.

McCaffrey finished the game with 14 rushing attempts for 38 yards and a touchdown. He added four receptions and 39 yards through the air.

The 49ers acquired McCaffrey in a blockbuster trade with the Carolina Panthers before the NFL’s trade deadline. He quickly became the first player since LeDainian Tomlinson in 2005 to run, throw, and catch a touchdown in the same game.

McCaffrey and the 49ers are next in action on Nov. 21st when they travel south to face their NFC West rivals, the Arizona Cardinals for ESPN Monday Night Football.
