Last week, the Arizona Cardinals made a somewhat surprising move when they suddenly announced that they had released veteran star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, making him a free agent that’s able to sign with any team. Since then, there has been some speculation that the Cleveland Browns could be interested in signing him – but head coach Kevin Stefanski didn’t want to talk about it.

During a press conference on Tuesday, Kevin Stefanski was asked whether or not the team would consider pursuing DeAndre Hopkins in free agency. But instead of answering the question directly, he decided to praise the rest of the team’s wide receivers.

“I really, really like our wide receiver room,” Stefanski said in a video shared by Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com. “I love the guys that are in there. Andrew and his crew are always looking at every avenue, so I won’t comment specifically on the player other than to say that I really like our roster.”

Obviously, this doesn’t mean the team won’t be pursuing Hopkins in free agency, but it sounds like Stefanski has no plans to discuss any of those potential free-agency moves with the media any time soon. So we’ll just have to wait and see.
