Cleveland Browns Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns are hoping to bounce back in a major way after an extremely dissapointing 2024 season that saw them earn the rights to the number two overall pick in the draft, which they would go on to trade to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Unfortunately for the Browns, there are still major question marks surrounding this year’s team. Head coach Kevin Stefanski has yet to name his starting quarterback, and if that weren’t enough to figure out, now it looks like the Browns will be without one of their best players for a significant amount of time.

Browns CB Martin Emerson is down here at practice. Cart taking him off,” reported NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo. “No weight on his left leg as he was helped to the cart.”

Garafolo then followed up with what seemed like more bad news.

“Emerson with a towel over his head and very emotional as he was driven off. Athletic trainers gave owner Jimmy Haslam an update he didn’t seem to like.”

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

The sad reality of football starting up is that there are about to be a (lot) of devastating injuries. Smh,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“I actually may have to find a new team to root for. 27 years of garbage. I feel for those that are 40-50,” one discouraged Browns fan said.

“This city is cursed. Probably one of the worst stretches of sports luck in a long time,” someone else added.
