Cleveland Browns star tight end David Njoku, like most football players, is a fan of legendary quarterback Tom Brady.

The now-former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback announced his retirement from the NFL “for good” on Wednesday. While time will tell if that’s true, Njoku wasted no time in showcasing how much Brady‘s career meant to him.

“THANK YOU, TOM BRADY” Njoku tweeted before attaching the famous GOAT emoji.

Njoku got the last laugh on the field when the Browns defeated Brady and the Buccaneers, 23-17, in a game that featured an insane one-handed touchdown catch from the athletic tight end.

Njoku played collegiately with the Miami Hurricanes over offers from the Boston College Eagles, the Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Temple Owls. Njoku played two seasons in Miami after redshirting his freshman year in 2014. He declared for the draft with two years left on his eligibility.

The Browns selected Njoku with the 29th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. Throughout his career, he has compiled 206 receptions for 2,382 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns.

Only time will tell if Brady actually retires this time around instead of joining the Fox Sports booth as planned. But it’s clear Njoku will be a fan regardless.
