The Denver Broncos held a 6-3 halftime lead against the Indianapolis Colts during Week 5’s Thursday Night Football game in the Mile High City.

Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson ended the half 9-for-17 with 69 yards passing. His counterpart, Colts quarterback Matt Ryan, was 12-for-19 for 140 yards with an interception.

It’s safe to say, barring a second half completely opposite of the first, this game will not go down in NFL record books as an offensive smorgasbord. The Colts amassed a paltry 144 yards and the Broncos were even worse, racking up 104 yards.

The NFL world was quick to react to another boring rendition of weekday football presented by Amazon:

“Name two things more boring than the Denver Broncos and the Indianapolis Colts. I’ll wait,” Lee Schecter wrote.

“I’ve seen some boring , terrible football games but this Colts vs Broncos is on a different level,” wrote one Twitter user.

“Broncos vs. Colts is like traveling back in time to study football from 1917,” wrote a Titans fan.

“This Thursday football game is super boring tonight. How bad are the Broncos and Colts? The announcers seem super tired too, dang,” wrote another fan.

One user, however, was quick to note that next week’s forecast for entertaining football doesn’t look promising.

“Next week doesn’t get any better on TNF,” wrote Bovada about the Chicago Bears and Washington Commanders game.

Hopefully for fans and bettors the offenses get going in the second half.
