The Washington Commanders should be extremely excited about what young quarterback Jayden Daniels can accomplish heading into his second season as a pro, after an electric rookie year that saw him lead the Commanders all the way to the NFC Championship.
Unfortunately for the Commanders, Daniels’ top target last season is currently in a standoff with the organization, and things are still escalating as mandatory minicamp gets underway for the Commanders.
“Commanders WR Terry McLaurin, who is seeking a new deal and has been away from OTAs, is not attending minicamp, sources say,” reported NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport on Tuesday.
Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“Bro gets an amazing QB that finally makes him look good and is going to throw it all away. Wild,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“t’s be fine. The man doesn’t want to risk getting injured and that’s perfectly fine. Agent gotta do what he gotta do,” one fan added.
“This not a big deal Ian.. why would he wants to show up without a new contract and risking injuries.. I wouldn’t show up too.. go get your clickbait somewhere else.,” someone else added.
It’ll be interesting to see if McLaurin’s holdout works in his favor.
