The Dallas Cowboys have had quite the offseason. Team owner and general manager Jerry Jones has been involved in a very public back-and-forth via the media with his star pass rusher Micah Parsons, who is looking for a contract extension that reflects his dominance on the field.

As of Friday, no deal appeared imminent, and Parsons took to Twitter to formally request a trade, sharing his reasoning with screenshots of a lengthy letter he typed up in the iPhone Notes app.

However, Dallas has agreed to a deal with a different lineman altogether, according to one prominent league insider, which may add to Parsons’ frustration.

The #” to bring him back to Dallas, pending a physical, per sources,” reported Jordan Schultz.

Fans reacted to the signing on social media.

“Collins is beyond washed. Hasn’t made a roster since 2023, and that was with the Bengals who were THE WORST offensive line in the league. Your grandmother could’ve been a starting OT on that team,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Was a detrimental pass blocker his final 2 years playing, which was 2 seasons ago. Not a good look for Jerry today,” another fan added.

“Jerry negotiates contracts like a grounded seventeen year old man he is so cool,” someone else added.

It’ll be interesting to see if Jones pivots to getting a deal done with Parsons now.
