The Dallas Cowboys have issued a statement about an emergency situation that occurred at their team hotel.

A fire occurred in the Oxnard, Calif. hotel where the team is staying for training camp. On Tuesday night, the team issued a statement providing some detail on the matter and reporting that thankfully, there were no injuries.

The statement was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by Jon Machota of The Athletic.

“There was a fire emergency in one of the guest rooms this afternoon at the team’s hotel in Oxnard, Calif,” the statement read. “The emergency was contained to one room, that was empty at the time, and there were no injuries. The Dallas Cowboys thank the Oxnard Fire Department and Oxnard Police Department for their quick response and reaction to the situation.”

The Cowboys will host the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday in the final preseason game for both teams. Dallas will get its regular season going on Sunday, Sept. 8 on the road against the Cleveland Browns.
